The Dogma Tail...
Mary and Michael Hogan (owners of Dogma),
who are very active in the local K-9 community, realized how much
Arlingtonians care for their pets. This spurred them ( Jackson had a
lot of input ) to open a Doggy Bakery. Dogma opened its doggy door in
Arlington in November of 2000. Mary and the feisty duo of Truman and
Jackson make fresh-baked dog treats in the store daily. We also have
great gift items and offer unique products for both dogs and dog
lovers alike, in a comfortable atmosphere where dogs and owners can
shop. Don't tell Jackson, but Dogma also carries items for cats and
their owners.
Jackson, Truman and Mary are quickly becoming a mainstay of the D.C.
area pet-loving community.
We hope you will enjoy browsing through our web site and will find it
enjoyable as well as useful. Please be sure to bring your "best friend"
by the store the first chance you get!

Dogma
is located at the intersection of Lee Highway and North
Harrison Street, in the same shopping center with Harris
Teeter, next door to Starbucks.
Many of our customers grab a coffee next door or a bagel
from Chesapeake Bagel Bakery or a pizza from Pie-Tanza,
and enjoy the outdoor seating while their pup enjoys
their favorite treat. This shopping center has become a
hot spot on the weekend for dogs and their people.
